The first time Danny saw Kelsey and Zach’s house, he knew his crew was in the right place. The Mobile, Alabama, newlyweds had just moved in and their kitchen was a disaster. Tools, dust and dropcloths covered the floor, Shop Vacs were everywhere and cords were tangled in every corner.
But the Lipfords’ chaos was no match for the team assembled to transform their space. In addition to the two hosts, the crew included Danny’s daughter Chelsea, carpenter Joe Truini and cameraman Jodi Marks — who also serve as the show’s production staff. It’s a team that has become known as the “three echoes” in the years since they formed 3 Echoes Productions in 1997.
Despite having been around remodeling for 40 years — the same length of time that he’s been hosting Today’s Homeowner — Danny still hasn’t lost his enthusiasm or his down-to-earth approach to helping people improve and maintain their homes. In fact, his popularity has increased as he’s gained a reputation as the person who can take complicated tasks and make them seem easy for viewers to do themselves.
The 25th season of the Emmy-nominated television show, which features the father-daughter host team of Danny and Chelsea, debuts Oct. 24 and will air in 205 of the 210 available Nielsen markets (or 90% of the U.S.). The series is also available to millions of VIZIO SmartCast customers on WatchFree+, which comes equipped with every new VIZIO TV.
